TTP Threatens PPP and PML-N with Action in Policy Shift

The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has threatened to take action against the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) if they “remain firm on their position and continue to be slaves of the army.” The TTP’s statement comes a day after Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari announced that the government will abandon its policy of appeasement towards terrorists. The TTP had previously announced the end of a ceasefire with the government in November. In response, the National Security Committee (NSC) has decided to cease dialogue with the TTP and reverse some of the flawed plans pursued by the previous government
